NEW Newsletter Format: Apologetics Sans Seminary, Fathers and Sons, The Most Practical Biblical Book? (11/25/2023)

Welcome to the new Newsletter from The Think Institute. Every Friday, the latest issue will be sent to our approximately 1,000 subscribers (and growing). Each message will include 1 idea from me, 1 quote from someone else, and 1 idea for you to think about.

AN IDEA FROM ME

"You can teach yourself apologetics without needing to go to seminary. It is going to take organization, motivation, and diligence on your part, but if you commit to doing it right, you can absolutely super-charge your apologetics know-how through a program of self-study."

A QUOTE FROM SOMEBODY ELSE

"A father needs to take his son into his confidence and to teach him the skills that he was taught. This takes time, and there are disadvantages. The boy learning to use the chisel will dull its edge; but it is better to have a dull chisel and a sharp boy than to have a dull boy and a sharp chisel."

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

The Christian worldview and lifestyle are completely and entirely presented between the front and back coveres of the Bible. We don't have to go outside of Scripture in order to get the Creator's authoritative viewpoint on everything in all of human experience. That is such a blessing. Having said that, in order to know what God says about all of life, you have to actually study the Bible for yourself. The Bible is composed of 66 different books. Of those 66, which one(s) would you say is most immediately practical for everyday life? Let me know what you think.

Blessings,
