              Spiritual Disciplines Guide
“The Spiritual disciplines are those personal and corporate disciplines that promote spiritual growth. They are the habits of devotion and experiential Christsainity that have been practiced since biblical times.” —Donald S. Whitney
This guide was originally created for members of the Hammer & Anvil Society, and we’re now making it available to the public.
You are about to learn about, and be equipped to practice, the following:
- Taking sermon notes
- Leading family worship
- Tithing/giving financially
- Prayer & fasting
- Keeping a prayer journal
- Giving your personal testimony
- Evangelizing
- Serving at church
- Serving outside of church
- Discovering your spiritual gifts
By practicing these 10 spiritual disciplines, you will engage your head, heart and hands in devotion to God. These practices will help you grow closer to Christ and more mature in your faith. They will also help you to live out your calling in the arenas of life where God has placed you and called you to make an impact for the Kingdom of Heaven.
