Board of Directors
A board of directors oversees the Think Institute. Our board members and their offices are:
Joel Settecase, President. Joel is a theologian, Bible teacher and the author of Catakids! He and his family are members at Redeemer Fellowship in St. Charles, Illinois. Joel enjoys photography, lifting weights, the great sport of rugby, and family road trips.
Kevin Blessum, Secretary. Kevin works in the technology industry. He lives with his wife and daughter in the greater Sacramento area, where they attend Life Pointe, an Acts 29 church. He enjoys studying apologetics, economics, and visiting the beach/mountains with his family.
Ann Dorner, Treasurer. Ann has been the Principal at Ann Dorner Accounting, LLC for over ten years. She is a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University. Ann and her husband reside in Prospect Heights, Illinois. They are members at the Orchard Church in Arlington Heights, where Ann is a greeter, and are involved with the International Student Ministry at Moody Bible Church.

Joel Settecase, Executive Director
Joel Settecase is the Founder of the Think Institute. His research centers on finding biblically-based methods for equipping believers to explain, share and defend the Christian worldview.
Joel earned his MA in Philosophy of Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is currently designing an apologetics curriculum for homeschooled high schoolers.
Joel wrote Catakids! and is the host of the Worldview Legacy Podcast. He speaks at churches, conferences and men's ministries all over Chicagoland and the Midwest.
A former pastor and high school Bible teacher, Joel has been working in Christian ministry and education since 2009.
A large part of Joel’s effort is dedicated to helping Christian men become worldview leaders in their families and churches. He also serves as the Assistant Chaplain for the Trail Life Troop of Harvest Bible Chapel in Elgin, Illinois, where he teaches weekly discipleship lessons to over 100 “Trailmen,” aged five to 18 years old.
Joel enjoys photography, lifting weights, the great sport of rugby, and spending time with his family. He and his wife Aliza live with their four children in Geneva, Illinois.
Aliza Settecase, Administrator
Aliza is a homemaker and homeschooling mom to four children—Jakob (10), AnnaSophia (9), Lukas (8), and Josephine (4). Aliza is a Bible teacher, a singer, a student of the Word, and a former sales trainer and professional organizer.
