When Was the New Testament ACTUALLY Written?

The account of the birth of Jesus, called the Nativity, is found in the Bible. The Bible, as you may know, is a library of 66 different books organized into two parts—the Old Testament and the New Testament—and the Nativity story is found in the books of Matthew and Luke, two of the four books in the New Testament that are called Gospels. 


Now, for centuries, it has been believed that, when you picked up the Gospels, you were reading accounts written close to the time of the events they record. 

But what if that's not the case? Recent scholarship has raised questions about the date of the writing of the Gospels. In fact, today it is common to run into people, whether online or in person, who believe that the Gospels were written hundreds of years after the events it describes. 

In this episode, we answer the very important question, “When was the New Testament (actually) written? Our hope is that this video will help you prepare to respond to this challenge and to lead your family in responding to it.
