Think Update #4 - Jesus IS King (November 5, 2019)
Welcome Back!

No frills or lengthy preamble this week. You're busy and you want to get equipped with interesting and helpful content. This week's theme: "Jesus is King." Let's get into it.
READ: Amazing Article About People Getting Saved At Kanye West's Sunday Service
This is nothing if not encouraging. Maybe you've heard that world-renowned (and Chicago-raised) rapper Kanye West has a new album out ("Jesus Is King"), and that it's a Christian album. Perhaps you've heard that Kanye is now a born-again Christian and has committed to only making Christian hip-hop from now on, and that he's "working for God."
It could be that, like me, you maintain a healthy portion of skepticism along with your optimism about the state of Mr. West's soul (personally I'm convinced the man is following the King he sings about now, but only God knows and only time will tell).
However, one thing is for certain: people are responding. At a recent "Sunday Service" event (calling it a "concert" seems kinda wrong), "over 1,000" attendees purportedly committed their lives to Jesus Christ.
Yes, this happened.
How should we respond? Let's pray for revival in our time, and ask God to give us opportunities to share the Gospel boldly Eph. 6:19).
We may never get a platform like Kanye, but we serve the same God and believe the same, powerful Gospel. To God be the glory! I hope this article inspires your own #Evangelism.
LISTEN: How to Share The Gospel Using 5 Questions
In this episode of the Think Podcast, I lay out a strategy that will help you memorize the Good News about King Jesus (AKA the Gospel) using five questions, and then to answer those five questions directly from Scripture. I talk about two passages, one that is short and sweet, and the other that goes a little more in depth.
The five questions are:
Who is Jesus?
What did he do?
Why did he do it?
How do we know?
How should we respond?
Check it out and invest in your skill of #Evangelism.
READ: A Passion For Souls (Moody Biography)
A friend (and Think Institute ministry partner) gave this book to me last year and highly recommended it. I am now passing that recommendation along to you.
Do you know the story of D. L. Moody? He was one of the greatest Gospel workers in the history of the English-speaking world. His story, told masterfully by Lyle Dorsett, heaped fuel on the fire of my own passion to reach the city of Chicago with the Gospel of King Jesus. I suspect this book will have a similar effect on you.
It takes some work to get through (Dorsett includes a lot of detail), but it's worth it, and the story really is compelling. You'll see a few different sides of Moody that maybe you've never seen before (I was personally encouraged to learn that he wasn't really a great administrative leader).
God used D. L. Moody to impact the world for the Gospel. He might just use this book to impact your life as well.
