3 Book Recommendations For You
What was the last great book you read? It's not always easy to discover quality books that entertain, educate and inspire. Sometimes having a good recommendation can make all the difference. So here are my top three recommendations for you, from the books I read this year.
In The House of Tom Bombadil, by C. R. Wiley. Wiley draws out solid, biblical lessons from an unexpected place in J.R.R. Tolkein’s works. A good gift for yourself or a Christian man in your life. Bonus: Listen to Episode #7 of the Worldview Legacy Podcast to hear CR Wiley discuss this book.
Person of Interest: Why Jesus Still Matters In a World that Rejects the Bible, by J. Warner Wallace. This is an amazingly well researched book and a joy to read. Wallace traces the impact of Jesus through history. It encouraged me, strengthened my faith and gave me new arguments to defend the truth about who Jesus really is. How Should We Then Live: The Rise and Decline of Western Thought and Culture, by Francis Schaeffer. Five years ago, my father-in-law suggested I read everything by Francis Schaeffer that I could find. I've been doing that, and I am consistently surprised by how well Schaeffer spoke to the issues of today. And he was writing 50 years ago!
