Should America Be a Christian Nation? | Debate
Today we’re going to answer the question—Should the United States of America be a Christian nation?
Recently I did a “Debate Stage” on the Discord Politics server, and this is what we discussed.
After my opening statement, I respond to the seven different debate partners, who raise the following challenges:
• Would a Christian nation violate basic rights?
• Did we really used to be a Christian nation?
• Can Christianity take credit for civilizational advancements and moral teachings?
• Is Sharia law superior to biblical Christianity?
• In a Christian nation, how much force could Christians use?
• Would it be better if the state was seen as supreme?
• Why isn’t atheism a better foundation than Christianity?
• How would we reconcile all the various Christian denominations?
• Does the Bible teach the principles of a constitutional republic?
